The 6th grade class is studying the covenants of the Old Testament. Back then, paper was scarce and agreements and promises were spoken and sealed with gestures.
We put this into practice this week by creating a class oath and gesture to seal our promise to work diligently both in and out of class.
From the story of Noah, we also learned that God used a symbol to seal his promise to never flood the world again. The rainbow is a constant reminder of God's love for us.
6th graders chose symbols and posted them on our oath to help them remember these promises that will be kept in our classroom throughout the year.
Great work, 6th graders!
